Sharmila Majumdar focuses on developing quantitative imaging and image
processing techniques to study the morphology and function of the
musculoskeletal system. In addition to extensive collaborations with
Orthopedic Surgery, Medicine and Rheumatalogy at UCSF, she collaborates
with UC Berkeley, Lawrence Berkeley and Lawrence Livermore National
Labs, as well as with industry. She is actively involved in graduate
education in the Bioengineering Graduate Group (UCSF and UCB), and also
serves as an undergraduate advisor to students in the undergraduate
program in the Bioengineering Dept. at UC Berkeley.
